Had Japanese tonight for dinner at Maluken, the place right off of Kenmore Square. I went there a couple of times last year and it was pretty good. This time we had some sashimi, maki, and a torikatsu (tonkatsu but chicken). Apologize for the dark pictures - it wasn't very bright where we sat.

All of the stuff was good. I actually like this place better than a few of the more expensive places I've tried... It's far better than Ginza for the money. I think they do the fried items pretty well... the katsu isn't too greasy, and I've had tempura that was pretty good in the past. It's also strangely been almost empty each time I've gone, so it's really quiet. It hasn't closed yet so maybe I'm just not there when it's busy. They had the Red Sox game on while we ate... speaking of which, I have to go watch that now.
