Went to the Parish Cafe on Boylston the other day with Keith and Yuen. Passed by it when we went to Grill 23 which reminded me that I wanted to go check it out. It's a sandwich place that has sandwiches designed by different chefs around Boston.
the burke - prosciutto, capicola, sopresata, provolone, olive oil, and red onion on french bread toasted in the oven
the oleana - beer-battered fried mussels and hot peppers on baguette with tartar sauce and romaine
Solid place, and at under $10 each not a bad deal at all. It's a lot of food. The Burke is by Jim Burke, owner of the Tuscan Grille in Waltham. The sandwich was really good. The Oleana is by Ana Sortun, the chef/owner of Oleana in Cambridge. We were all thinking wow, a mussel sandwich. I had a bite, and Keith put it best when he said it's really good, but not something one could eat very often. Quite unique though.
